Lavender Fields and Mountain Views: A Dreamy Mt. Hood Elopement

FILED IN: ELOPEMENTS

As a destination elopement photographer, I have the honor of capturing love stories in places that feel almost too beautiful to be real. Nick and Kayla’s Mt. Hood elopement is one I will never forget. It was peaceful, personal, and full of quiet magic.

Their day started in the sweetest log cabin tucked away in the woods. It felt like a secret hideaway made just for them. Morning light poured through the trees as they got ready together, helping each other with buttons and zippers and sharing quiet smiles. There was no stress and no separate rooms. Just two people in love, beginning their wedding day side by side.

We headed to a nearby lavender field where rows of purple stretched out toward the horizon. The scent of lavender hung in the air and bees floated lazily from flower to flower. In the distance, Mt. Hood stood tall and clear, creating the perfect backdrop for something unforgettable.

Nick and Kayla exchanged vows right there, surrounded by nature and held by the stillness of the moment. No guests. No noise. Just the two of them, promising forever with nothing but mountains, flowers, and love all around them.

After their vows, they kicked off their shoes and ran through the field together. They laughed and twirled and soaked in every second. I followed with my camera, capturing moments that felt more like memories than photos.

This is why I do what I do. Not just to take pictures, but to tell stories. Real ones. Honest ones. The kind that make you feel something.

If you are dreaming of an elopement that is simple, meaningful, and set somewhere beautiful, I would love to help you make it real.
